Keep the signal. Leave the sprawl.

LESS RECAP. MORE RESOLUTION.

From scattered to settled.

01 / GATHER

Choose your scope.

One conversation, selected tasks, a whole project, or a sidebar section. Start where the loose ends are.

02 / RECONCILE

Keep what holds up.

Bring decisions, artifacts, and open questions together. Catch duplicates and flag conflicting or missing context.

03 / CONTINUE

Give it a home.

Preserve useful knowledge in your tools. Carry the remaining work into one brief, with sources and a next action.

Get the free ZIP
  1. Download & extract.

The ZIP contains one syntropy folder with the skill, references, a handoff template, and an MIT license.

  2. Add it to Codex.

Place the folder in ~/.agents/skills/ for personal use, or your repository’s .agents/skills/. Keep a backup if replacing an existing version.

  3. Close your first loop.

In a new task, run $syntropy setup. A short interview sets your preferred docs, task list, and project exceptions. Skip it to keep output in the conversation. Restart Codex if the skill doesn’t appear.

TRY THIS PROMPT

$syntropy consolidate the tasks in this project into one continuation here. Preserve decisions, link sources, and identify the next action.

Official Codex skill installation guide ↗
Can I choose where output goes?

Yes. First-run setup asks where to save knowledge, where to track actions, and whether any projects or personal notes need a different home. Your preferences stay in a local file outside the skill package. Run $syntropy setup to change them, or name a destination for one run. Nothing is sent to this website.

What does it need?

A skill-capable AI agent. Project and section consolidation also needs task listing and reading tools in your Codex session. If those aren’t available, use it on the current conversation or provide exported source material. Connected apps are optional; without access, it prepares content for you to save.

Where does my context go?

The download is an instruction package, not a hosted agent. There is no bundled telemetry or service receiving your conversations. Your AI provider and connected apps still process the information you share. Syntropy follows your authorized scope; archiving is a separate action.

Is it really free?

Yes. Download, use, edit, and redistribute it under the MIT license. Your AI tool and connected services may have their own costs. The package is fully readable Markdown and YAML.

Does it merge my chat histories?

It creates a coherent continuation brief with references to the sources. It doesn’t merge raw chat histories, code branches, or worktrees. Original tasks stay available unless you authorize archiving.
